Jerry Frahm
As an avid outdoorsman Jerry has always enjoyed being outside whether it was hiking, fly fishing, big-game hunting or just doing some wing shooting. The outdoors has always played a very important role in Jerry's life. In the spring of 2000 everything changed when he was introduced to the world of competitive bass fishing. It was at this time in his life when I discovered what my true passion was and where he decided to focus his time and energy. If you enjoy the smell of 2-cycle, the exhilarating first bite of the day and watching the sun melt the water before your eyes you may have the same passion for this sport as Jerry has. Jerry is very fortunate to have a supportive family, two children and an understanding wife, without them none of this would be possible. Outlined below is a portion of his journey.
Achievements:
- 2010 Western Divisional BASS, 16th overall, 1st Place for Utah Team.
- Utah BASS Federation Nation State Team member
- BASS Federation Nation Western Divisional Tournament, Columbia River Tri-cities, Washington. 12th place finish overall 2nd place finish on the Utah State Team along with big fish of the Tournament at 7lb 13oz.
- Utah BASS Federation Nation Qualifier Tournament, at Flaming Gorge Reservoir, Uta
- Eagle Rock BASSMASTER OPEN, Twin lakes Idaho, 4th place.
- TEAM BASS Utah OPEN, Pine view Reservoir Utah, 1st place.
- Eagle Rock BASSMASTERS OPEN, Twin lakes Idaho, 1st place
and big fish (6lb 4oz).
- Eagle Rock BASSMASTERS OPEN, Milner Dam Idaho, Snake
River, 1st place.
Pete Mathews
Pete began chasing bass on childhood trips to Minnesota and Lake of the Ozarks. While he still gets up to Minnesota every once and a while, he does most of his fishing on local reservoirs such as Truman, Lake of the Ozarks, Grand Lake, and Table Rock.
When he’s not on the water, Pete loves to spend time with his beautiful (and very understanding!) girlfriend, her son, and his coonhound Chloe. Regardless of the weather or time of year, he dedicates every free second he has to fishing or writing about fishing on websites like 724Outdoors.com and BassEast.com. Pete has lived in the Kansas City area his entire life and fishes multiple tournament circuits throughout the Midwest. His favorite lake to fish is Truman Lake in Missouri so it’s probably no surprise that he loves to flip and fish squarebills in shallow, muddy water! Angelo Messina
Angelo learned to bass fish after enlisting in the US Air Force more than 20 years ago. During his travels he bass fished in several states New Jersey, Florida, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Arizona gaining bass fishing experience on a varity of lakes using various techniques.
Angelo is married and has two children. His hobbies include fishing, hunting and long range target shooting. After retiring from the Air Force Angelo moved to Arizona. He has served as the President of the Arizona Bass Club. His favorite lake to fish is Alamo Lake in Arizona and loves to Flip and work Crankbaits. In March 2007, Angelo bagged a 10 pound, 10 ounce Largemouth.
